| Ask your child about the Words of the Week, their journal, and POWER
TEACHING!
Students will not be given a book. Instead, they will be able to use the
books in class or borrow one to take home. They will also be able to access
the book online. We will be starting with Chapter 1 and working our
way through the book. There will be some things that we will not be
covering based on the anchor standards. I will keep you updated as to what
we are covering and when. Please check back to this page frequently for
information.
Ask you child about "Magic Words". They will be learning these special
words to help them answer open-ended questions. They will also be having
math vocabulary every week. Students will be quizzed on the definitions of
these words approximately every three weeks! This will be a school-wide
activity!

We will be starting Chapter 2. We will be working on customary and metric
measurement this week as well as perimeter and area!
