Welcome to first grade! My name is Mrs. Dart and I will be your first grade
teacher! Take a look through our clasroom website to find some information
about what will be taking place in our classroom this year!
All About Me
This is my third year teaching at G.G.B. I have really enjoyed working with
all the students and teachers here.
I attended both Penn State Erie, the Behrend College, and University of
Pittsburgh at Bradford where I completed my elementary education degree. I
am currently completing my masters through Edinboro Universtity for a
specialization in teaching reading.
At home, I love to spend time with all of my animals that live on our farm,
Rainy Day Farm in Smethport. We have lots of really cool creatures at our
place. I have two horses of my own that are named Badger and Grace. I have
a German Shorthaired Pointer named Blase, and a cow named Truman. You will
get to know much more about these guys throughout the year as I share
pictures and stories about them!
I love to plan fun things to do with my students that inspire them to use
curiosity and creativity to learn. I especially enjoy incorporating
technology into our learning in my classroom. We have been so lucky at G.G.B
to have a variety of wonderful new technology to use in our classroom. I
look foward to sharing this new technology with both teachers and students
throughout the upcoming year.
