How is discipline handled in the classroom?

Good classroom behavior is the key to successful learning. Students will be
taught the school and classroom rules and will be expected to follow them
accordingly. Students are each assigned a behavior pocket. All of the
students start the day on orange. Those who remain on orange earn money to
spent in the classroom store.

May I send in a special treat with my child on their birthday?

We will celebrating birthdays throughout the year in room 134. Sweet treats
and candy are no longer allowed, however, if you would like to send in
treats, pencils and stickers are great! Another idea? Story books that are
purchased and put in honor of the birthday child are a great idea. After
reading the story together, we would then put the book in our classroom
library. I have special book plates that are placed in the front of the book
for this purpose! You are under no obligation to send these treats in, it is
only if you choose to.

May my child distribute party invitations at school?

Your child may distribute invitations only if there is one for everyone or
one for all the boys, or all the girls (depending upon the nature of the
party). This is important because we do not want children to feel left out
or hurt!
