English 7 Class Rules and Procedures 1. Be on time, seated, and prepared for class. --Have notebook and binder open. --Have a pen or a SHARPENED pencil ready. --If homework is due, have it ready. 2. While I am teaching, I expect your full attention. You may not chat with your friends, do work for another class, use a cell phone for any purpose, draw pictures, pass notes, nor especially play with miniature skateboards or other toys. I will confiscate them!! 3. If you wish to ask a question or make a comment, raise your hand. 4. All lavatory trips will be made in the first five minutes, or the last five minutes of class unless a dire emergency occurs. The last five minutes of class will be a silent time for homework, reading, or further private instruction unless the lesson takes the full period. No gathering at the door waiting for the bell. 5. ABSOLUTELY NO LOCKER RUNS!!!! You need to have everything necessary for class with you when you enter the room. 6. No eating, drinking, or gum chewing. 7. In the event of an absence, it will be your responsibility to obtain the missed work. It will be posted. Do not come into class and ask, What did I miss? 8. Homework is due the next day unless told otherwise. Late homework will not be accepted. 9. Any cheating will result in a zero for that test, quiz or assignment. 10. Treat all faculty, staff, and students with respect.
