Mystery State Contest

Students do not need to take part in this contest. By Friday of each week, students should submit their entries in the designate class contest box ( on the window - according to class period). At the beginning of the week, I will write five clues on the board. Students are to research or guess what state I am describing. They simply fill out the form given to them and submit in their class box. The form includes: First and Last Name, Date of Submission, Time ( class period), and their guess of the mystery state I am describing. At the end of the week- Friday, I will pull one name from the class box (at random, without seeing names). If the student is correct, they will receive extra points, a free homework, or some other point reward towards their grade. This is an equal opprotunity contest. The box will be shaken before an entry is drawn and the winner will be verbally announced. In order to receive the extra points, the student's entry msut be correct and the form needs to be filled out in its entirety.
