AP Summer Reading List

It is impossible for us to cover all of the reading in class. It is 
vital that you read the following over the summer. You will be tested 
on the materials you are required to read over the summer within the 
first week or two of school. Be prepared for the test on the first 
day of school.



2008-2009
These are two works that have been found on the AP exam. They are the 
same two works as Mr. Carey required over the summer.
The Odyssey
Don Quixote


Please check this website throughout the month, there will be some  
background information for you to read on the  Anglgo-Saxon period 
before we begin Beowulf and Canterbury Tales at the beginning of the 
school year.

2009-2010
The two summer readings will be:
1. The Crucible
2. Macbeth

You will be given materials for the readings of these two texts.

For the Crucible: Dramatic Recitation on John Proctor's " Because it 
is my name..." Due date will be announced at the beginning of the 
year.
For Macbeth: Tracing a word and other handouts. Due dates will be 
given at a later time
