9th: My SAT Journal

My SAT Journal provides exposure to vocabulary and writing practice. It uses a variety of interesting topics and vocabulary words commonly found on SAT preparatory vocabulary lists. You will see a sentence fragment or statement followed by four vocabulary words. Using a dictionary or online source, write two paragraphs using the four vocabulary words on the ropic provided. Student Directions: You will rewrite the sentence fragment or statement in the margin of your paper for the given number. Directly underneath the sentence fragment or statement, you will use a dictionary or online source to define the four words given. The four words and their definitions must be under the statement. Then you will begin writing your two paragraphs on the topic while incorporating the four vocabulary words. The vocabualry words should be highlighted or underlined so they are easily identifiable. You may be tested on these words at my leisure. A schedule may be given to you if I so choose to use these words for vocabulary tests. For now, you will just complete the exercise using notebook paper and handing it in as told. Be sure not to forget your first and last name on the paper, the class period you are in, the date, the sentence fragment or statement, the words and definitions and your two paragraphs. Be neat. If I cannot read it- you will not be given credit for the work. You may type the work if you want. I will credit some extra points for typed work.
