Notebook Requirements Page

A NEAT version of this page must be included when you hand in your notebook
at the end of every quarter.

NOTEBOOK REQUIREMENTS

The purpose of this notebook is to provide you with a reference book
that you can keep. This book is going to be graded each quarter. It will
be worth a major test grade (100 points). Furthermore, this book can help
provide the basis for your preparation in the PSSA math section when you
actually take your PSSA?s. With this in mind, the following is required:

1. Every student shall be responsible for maintaining a notebook.
If your notebook is lost, damaged or destroyed, you must provide a
replacement.

2. There is to be no writing, drawing, sketching, figuring, etc. in or on
your notebook cover. The only exception is to be your name, homeroom, and
class period neatly written on the outside front cover. Any deviation from
this will be an automatic deduction of 10 points from the value of your
notebook each quarter. If another persons name is on your notebook (i.e.
John loves Kelly), you will receive an automatic deduction of 10 points.

3. All material is to be organized in the notebook into sections
as follows:
A. Section 1 will consist of this sheet as page 1 and
various other sheets as announced.
B. Section 2 will consist of hand written PSSA problems obtained from the
side board.
C. Section 3 will consist of all class notes. Notes must be neat and
dated. You are allowed to miss one section of notes per quarter.

4. All pages must remain neat and placed in the notebook. Use
reinforcements if necessary. Failure to follow the provisions of
this
section and/or section 3 will result in an automatic loss of 10 points.

5. All material must be corrected with the proper explanation in
the appropriate areas. All problems must be clearly written out
with drawings if used. Neatness counts!

6. ALL PSSA notebooks are due by the end of homeroom on their assigned day
or at the beginning of class (exact instructions will be given a week prior
to the notebook being due). If your notebook is late (even by a few
minutes) points will be deducted.

7. If you have no notebook at the end of any quarter, you will
receive no notebook credit toward your quarter grade (a zero on a test
grade). Every day your notebook is late will result in an automatic
deduction of 10 points from the value of your notebook. After 4
days, no notebook will be accepted and you will receive a zero for
the notebook grade.

This sheet is to be kept in the front of your notebook at all times.
Replacements will not be issued. If you do not have this sheet at the end
of any quarter 5 points will be deducted from your grade.
