Welcome Students and Parents, I am Mr. Prushinski and I am your Advanced Biology teacher. I am very excited about teaching this class, because, it offers you a chance to learn about science at a higher level. I run my class on a total points system meaning, the grades are not weighted they are just worth a given number of points that will go towards a total at the end of the quarter. In addition to tests and quizzes there will be a different project each quarter which will be worth 100 pts (the same as a test). Participation is valued in my class. If you are a disruptive influence or you come late and/or unprepared to class your average will be affected accordingly. Also, I do realize that not all of us may be good test takers on every given day, so I drop the lowest test score each quarter. This class will be heavily rooted in anatomy and physiology. We will look at each organ system in depth, we will also spend a good deal of time disecting the cat. This is an advanced level course meaning, it is run at an accelerated rate. There is not much homework. Instead you will be required to keep up on topics by studying nightly. I am always available to give extra instruction to students during 7th period, please feel free to stop by Room 215 if you have any questions. I look forward to teaching this class and all of you this year. Mr. Prushinski
