Welcome to our Mystery Letter page. As new letters are introduced in our classroom we will post them on this page. You can read about some of the fun activities that we will do with each letter.

Nn- this letter is noisy and needs to know everything.  Our time with Nn will be spent learning about newts and how they live.  We will read about them and use our paper newts to measure and compare.  What is smaller or larger than a newt? We will be making Nn necklaces.  Our favorite Nn word this month is nice.

Ll- is a fun letter to make with blocks, rods, sticks and our bodies.  The letter Ll was made from our large blocks and we used them as balance beams to walk across. The lion in our journal isn't lazy and he loves all his lessons in Pre-K.

Tt- Tt is for turkeys, teepees, two, ten and terrific. This is a great letter for the month of November. Our Thanksgiving music helps us hear the sound of Tt. This is one great letter to be thankful for.

Hh- "Hh says Hi, Hello! How are you? Happy birthday! How do you do? We had fun marching around our room as we sang our Hh song wearing our top hats. We hopped on Hh as we played a cooperative gaimr with music. Our journals have houses made from geometric shapes

Mm- Many Merry Monkeys are marching in a parade. That's the march we did around the classroom as we practiced the sound of the letter Mm. We traced Mms in the sand trays and made Mms with clay. We cutout the letter Mm and put it into our new journals. We made some funny looking monsters, too.

Aa- is for apple. We have been learning about apples in our fall unit. We made the letter Aa with our bodies and and large and small rods. Our song for As is Ten Red Apples Hanging in the Tree. Beautiful apples will fill our journals.

Ff- is for Firefighters. Ten Firefighters went out one day........ We wore our fire hats and used hoses to put out imaginary fires and practiced sliding down the pole. Our letter journals will include the letter Ff and each of us dressed like firefighters.
