The show last night was terrific and the Pre-K really wowed the crowd with their terrific song. We were so proud of their good behavior during both performances. The students were just a little tired today. We managed to get through the day with lots of fun activities. Our parent presents are almost wrapped and we are having fun singing Christmas songs each day. We count the day to Christmas and light our Advent wreath in anticipation of that special day.
Mrs. Rowan would like everyone to return his/her library book by Monday.

Our angels are hanging in the hallway and our faces show how good we are being the month of December. We continue to light our Advent candles everyday. Today we prayed for those that need our prayers. We sing 2 songs as we think about waiting for Jesus. The Pre-K and kindergarten will be singing those songs at our last Advent prayer service next Tuesday at 9 AM. You are welcome to join us. We learned about taste buds and did an experiment with tasting salt and sugar. It was fun to learn about how animals and people taste differently. Tomorrow is Santa's Secret Workshop. Be sure to wear red or green and be ready to shop.

Our Rudolphs are shining bright in the hallway. Be sure to check them out when you are in school. Our Christmas hand tree is decorating the hallways with beautiful colors and sparkles. The children loved finding each family member before we hung it up. We went to chapel and participated in the school prayer service for the first week of Advent. Our Religion lesson was about Mary and how she was chosen to be a very special mom.

We lit our first Advent candle today. We discussed waiting for Jesus and how to get ready for his birthday. We learned 2 songs about Advent. Newt begins with the letter Nn. We used paper newts to measure, contrast and compare sizes. This activity helped us to understand our opposites.
