As a music teacher, I believe that music
education is important for all students in their growth as young people. I
believe in my passion to have ALL students LOVE music and what it does to their
senses. I believe that I have a duty to educate my students and help them
become lifelong lovers of music. Though I don’t see or hear it as much as I
want to, I know that I make a difference in the lives of many children day
after day. My job as a teacher is to educate, motivate, inspire, guide, share
with, learn from, nurture, and love the children that come into my school every
day. It is my job to make sure that my personal life does not get in the way of
teaching all of these things. I have a duty of making the children I teach feel
calm, respected, happy, and loved. I have a duty as a teacher to helping my
students reach their utmost potential to succeed in life. As a teacher I need
to understand that to some students, I am the closest thing to a father,
brother, uncle, or friend they will ever have. As a teacher I promise to do my
best to keep my students needs ahead of my own for as long as I hold the
distinct title of “teacher”.
