On behalf of the Holy Name Home and School Association, I
would like to welcome back all those returning families and give a warm welcome to all the new members of the Holy Name community. As you will find, Holy Name tries very hard to incorporate mind, body and spirit into all aspects of our children's development. The Home and School Association is no different. The Association provides spiritual, educational,
financial and volunteer support services to Holy Name School
consistent with its policies.
The objective of the Association are as follows:
* provide a means of communication between the home
* recruit the talents of parents and other individuals as
resources for the school community.
* coordinate a regular and consistent program of public
relations to assure that the parents, parish and
community are aware of the activities at the school.
* provide financial assistance through various fundraising
To achieve these goals, the Holy Name Home and School Association tries very hard to raise monies through various fundraising events to put toward school supplies, bus transportation for field trips, educational programs and our school's website. Last year was no different. The monies that was raised helped provide programs and enrichment activities for the children including a visit by author Diane Shore, a Zumba class and performance b the band Full Kilt.
This year will prove to be just as fun and educational for the students of Holy Name Schol and your help will make our fundraisers a great success. Please consider becoming a voting member as well as participating in any way you are able. New ideas and talents are always a blessing. The first General Meeting of the Home and School Association will be September 11th 2013 at 6:30pm in the school cafeteria. Immediately following this meeting will be the Open House to meet your child's teacher. Thank you in advance!
