This is still a time of change for all of us. Please remember to pray for
strength and guidance. This is also still a school year and we have lots more
to do...

Forensics:

We have wrapped up our season with some very impressive wins. What is
extremely gratifying is that we have a team in place from 7th and 6th grades
for next year. I hope we can build on this at St. Joseph the Protector and
encourage more children to join us.

Classes this week:

Grade 8 is completing a project that appears on water.org. This ties some of
our discussions on water in the US to areas that have some problems with
either obtaining water or fresh water in the world. We are also reviewing for
the science exam which may occur on Wednesday (they are ready). In both Math
and Religion, we have started reviewing for exams (Performance Assessments
for Math and Religion have been completed) which will be scheduled for the
following week (dates to be determined). We are also preparing for graduation.

8TH Grade Trip:

We will have to draw names out of a hat on Monday. We only have 5 seats for
Parents-this year because we have a smaller bus. You (Parents) will know by
the end of the day whether you are going with us on Thursday. Please
remember, that the children still need to dress appropriately but cooly (in
terms of temperature). PLEASE NOTE THAT SOME OF THE PERMISSION FORMS HAVE NOT
BEEN RETURNED.

Grade 7 science will complete their science Performance assessment this week
and we will continue to review for the Math and Science exam.

Grade 6 has started reviewing for the Science exam-very vocabulary driven
STUDY!. The Performance Assessment will be wrapped up this week. The exam
will be scheduled for the following week.
