Maryanne Rayer has a B.S. in Education with a concentration in
Spanish and an M.A. in Education from Villanova University. She is
the Chairperson of the World Language Department at Little Flower
Catholic High School for Girls. She has been the Chair and a Spanish
teacher there for the past twenty years.
Mrs. Rayer is also the moderator of the National Honor Society and the
assistant to the director of Little Flower's musical.
The goal of Spanish Class is to introduce students to the language
and culture of Spanish-speaking people around the world in a very
enjoyable way. The emphasis in our lessons will be on
communication: speaking and listening in authentic situations and
writing and reading on meaningful topics. In addition, the students
wil be exposed to different aspects of culture including history, geography
art, literature and music. Hopefully, through this introduction to
Spanish the students will want to become life-long learners of the
language.
