Mrs. Vernarr started getting interested in music in 4th grade when she began
playing the flute. She performed in the Elem., M.S., and H.S. bands and
chorus at Northwestern Lehigh as well as taking private flute lessons. At
Asbury College in Kentucky, Mrs. Vernarr performed in the flute choir,
orchestra, and concert band. When she returned to PA Mrs. Vernarr began
getting involved musically in two community bands and a flute choir. Mrs.
Vernarr presently performs with the Marine Band of Allentown, the Maestro 5
Double Woodwind Quintet, substitutes with the Flutations Flute Choir, and
performs solos for the Allentown Music Club as well as throughout the
community.
To develop a solid foundation in music reading skills and instrumental
technique.
To provide stimulating environment that encourages active responsibility for
learning and promotes self-discipline and teamwork.
To develop a passion for life-long learning for students to continue to grow
in their learning and appreciation of music.
