- place in reading journal using glossary - (announce test on Friday)
- use transperancy 107 and read vocabulary power pgs. 300-301
- complete practice book pg.52- vocabulary 
- complete sentences using vocabulary words in Theme 3 Book 3 pg 63
- Introduce fluency builder in  Intervention Practice book pg 47 - get signed 
every night and test on words and sentences on Friday
-Homework - Read the story Stealing Home pgs. 302 - 318 to an adult and study
vocabulary words for the test on Friday plus Theme Book 3

TUESDAY:  January 5, 2010
- Introduce tested skill- Compare and Contrast - Teaching Transparency
(106TM pg 300I)
- Complete Practice pg. 53 in the practice book together in class 
- Read Aloud - The War With Grandpa" by Robert Kimmel Smith (TM 300G) 
- Homework - Reread Stealing Home pgs. 302 - 318 with an adult 

WEDNESDAY:  January 6, 2010
- Read story orally and discuss and read Meet the Quthor and Illustrator - 
student books pgs. 302-318.
- Homework - answer Think and Respond questions in Theme Book 3 pg. 64
in complete sentence form.

THURSDAY:  January 7, 2010
-Play tape - Stealing Home and have students follow along in the book
- Go over Think and Respond questions together that are in their Theme 3 Book 
(homework) pg 64
- Homework - Reread Stealing  Home
- Study vocabulary for test

FRIDAY:  January 8, 2010
- Listen to story on tape
- TEST - complete test for Stealing Home
- Read Books For All Learners
