We will begin in our final theme, "Under the Ocean." We will discover animals that live in the 
ocean habitat through non-fiction stories. We will have fun reading fiction stories with ocean 
characters.


MONDAY, MAY 20
CALENDAR LANGUAGE
We will name the days of the week, months of the year, and yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

PHONEMIC AWARENESS
We will listen for initial, or beginning, sounds.

LANGUAGE ARTS
We will listen the story, Swimmy. We will respond to a story through drawing. We will review all 
sight words, letters, and sounds.

WRITING
We will write sentences. 

TUESDAY, MAY 21

We will name the days of the week, months of the year, and yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

PHONEMIC AWARENESS
We will listen for the sound of /q/ in words. 

LANGUAGE ARTS
We will listen to the story, "One Fish Two Fish, Red Fish Blue Fish. We will identify rhyming 
words. We will identify number words.

WRITING
We will write describing words.

We will listen for middle, or medial, sounds. 

LANGUAGE ARTS

will identify the title and author. We will track print from left to right and top to bottom.
