Dear 5th, 7th and 8th Grade Parents,
I just want to say thank you to all of you for your support and patience
with me as we have started this new journey. I'm so thankful for this
opportunity and look forward to continuing this school year!
Many of you attended the Christmas concert last Thursday night and heard
about our "Extreme Makeover: Classroom Edition". It has been a wonderful
chance for us to work together as a class to give our room a makeover with
many new furniture additions to our room, while being able to get rid of other
older and less functioning pieces. We were able to acquire a great oval
shaped table with six chairs to function as a small group space. I'm planning
to use it for Literature Circles, Writing Workshops, Anchor Activities and
many other uses! If you would like to come and check out our new space, please
feel free. The atmosphere is so much brighter and fresh. The students seem
to really appreciate the good fortune that was brought to us. An excellent way
to leave 2009 and begin 2010! Praise God!
Thank you so much for the cards and gifts for Christmas. I really
appreciated your thoughtfulness.
I'm looking forward to a full and fresh start when we return from
Christmas break. I'm very excited about what is to come in 2010.
