About The Teacher
"In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." Martin Luther King Jr. This quote of Rev. Martin Luther King is one that it is dear to my heart especially as it applies to our efforts toward inclusion and tolerance. More than Social Studies facts or English grammar, I feel duty bound to impart these values. Whether or not my students have the courage to step up for someone else, for themsleves or simply for what is right is key in how I view my mission as a teacher.

Mission
To prepare the 8th grade students for the challenging and exciting high school years. Academic preparation, while supremely important, does not outweigh my desire to instill the values that students will need to confront the many challenges to their strength of character that they will meet now and in the future.
