College and universities have various timelines for application deadlines.  Be aware of these timelines and submit your applications in a timely manner.  Remember to give sufficient time to the counselors, teachers, coaches, employers, and others, who you are asking to write letters of recommendation.  Be courteous in giving them adequate time to compose credible letters for you.

 

Remember to visit www.collegeboard.com and www.act.org for testing dates, advice, preparation, etc. Juniors should plan to take SAT/ACT in the 2nd semester. Additional test prep sources are available in the counseling office.
PSAT results are in.  They will be distributed to students during the weeks of December 10th through December 21st. 
This is also a perfect time to begin making arrangements to meet with your school counselor to discuss plans for your post high school transitioning. Review transcipts, career planning and educational options.

The 1st semester of your high school career is almost at an end.  Use effective time management and study skills in preparing for the completion of your 1st semester courses, including final exams.  These final grades will be the first grades to be recorded on your permanent high school transcript.
