This school year is Mrs. Loupos's 18th year teaching 8th grade Science in
the Nazareth Area Middle School. She is currently the head of the Student
Assistance Program, LINKS for the middle school.
Mrs. Loupos is the team leader for the Avalanche Team.
The 8th grade Science program is an integrated science with the focus being
on the designing and implementation of experiments. The results of the
experiments will be formated in a lab report with graphing as one of the
major
skills.
This year the Avalanche Team has an initiative to improve student writing.
Writing will take place in Science and Social Studies using the rubrics that
have been established by the PSSA. Our goal is to improve student writing
for all subject and to improve their writing scores on the PSSA test.
