Another short and busy week this week.  We continue to work on Unit 6 Week 4 and will have our spelling test Tuesday. We begin our last week of skills,Week 5, on Wednesday and will continue through until next Tues/Wed.  There are three Performance Assessments required this year from the Archdiocese, Math, Religion, and ELA. They are not assessments that the children can study beforehand.  They are an assessment of whether or not they can complete a task using skills that were learned this year. I will be reviewing skills in preparation for these assessments which will be conducted this and next week.

   I did send home the Religion Study Guide from the Archdiocese last week.  It is in the 'S' copybook. Please begin to review the material, a little each night. I will send home other Study Guides this week for Math and ELA.  Our Reading exam will be a regular book test, like the ones we take at the end of a Unit, assessing the many skills learned this year. Final exams are the week of June 4th.

   Wednesday evening is the Rita's Water Ice Fundraiser.  Try to attend and enjoy some tasty treats and  spend time with our OLHC families.  Thursday is the Mission Fair during the school day and Thursday evening is the Spring Concert.  Remember no school on Friday 5/25/12 or Monday 5/28/12 for the Memorial Day Holiday.
