The Second Grade will be using the Loyola Press series Christ Our Life for their religion instruction this year.

Religion instruction is a daily and integral part of your child's academic life here at Our Lady of Consolation School. This year the students will be developing a deeper relationship with God through prayer and Scripture. The students will be working together in Community of Faith teams to learn and be engaged in their faith throughout the year.

The student book is divided into Units. We will focus on a different spiritual theme during each unit. The students will work in their Community of Faith Teams to complete projects, as well as work individually on different activities. The Units are as follows:

Unit 1- God Gives Us Life and Love

Uniit 2-Jesus Calls Us to Give Ourselves in Love

Unit 3- Jesus Gives Us the Gift of Peace

Unit 4- Jesus Gives Us the Gift of Himself

Unit 5 - The Church Celebrates God's Care

Through out the units I will also be supplementing the lessons with activities about the
