Tasty Tuesdays

This year in 2nd grade our class will have the opportunity to make "Snazzy Snacks" on Tasty Tuesdays twice a month. This will occur during our Handwriting period. We will use this project as a way to practice legible handwriting when we write the recipe out for our "Snazzy Snack". We will also practice following directions in a step by step process in order to make the snack.

All the recipes will be collected and kept in the Students portfolio. At the end of the year, each student will create a cover for their recipe packet and then bind the recipes into a book. This recipe book will provide the students with a way to see their handwriting progress through out the year. It will also be a wonderful keepsake of their time and work in the Second Grade.

I am asking for parent volunteers to sign up to provide the needed ingredients for each Tasty Tuesday's "Snazzy Snack". If two different parents would agree to provide the ingredients for each date it should cut down on the cost.(It will also mean that a parent would only have to provide the ingredients once or twice during the year.) I will send home a letter with a schedule and then the week before your assigned Tasty Tuesday I will send home the ingredient list and amounts needed for the following Tuesday. Remember there is a need for two ingredient volunteers for each "Snazzy Snack" Tasty Tuesday. Thank you for your time and continued support of our classroom!!
