| Ahoy Mateys!!!
The 2008-2009 School Year will kick off with our first special theme unit and
project based on Pirates!!
Come take a trip and explore the life and times of the Pirates! Become a
sailor, firstmate, boatswain, quartermaster, or even the captain of a pirate
ship!!
We will be engaged in a variety of cross-curricular activities that will show
us how pirates navigated the high seas and lived on a pirate ship. We will
learn about some of the world's most famous pirates and complete a WEBQUEST
on Pirates! Then we will design Wanted posters on those very famous and not
so good pirates!
We will also learn about Pirate ship flags and create our own flag for a
pirate ship.
So get ready to set sail on the high seas for the adventure of a lifetime!
