This is the last weekend for the 8th grade clothing drive. A few reminders, the drop-off is at OUR LADY OF FATIMA RECTORY (the building that faces South Avenue between the Church).  There is a drive-way to the left of the Rectory that you can drive down to drop off your stuff.  We only have access to the garage door to the left, so if you leave stuff in front of it, please do not lean it up against the door.  As a reminder, below is a list of the things that they accept.  There were some books, decorations and car seats that have been dropped off.  These are not acceptable items unfortunately.  If there is an uncertainty as to what’s accepted, please call or email Theresa Myers at 610.809.9691 ortmmyers04@comcast.net (or Facebook).  She can contact the company to inquire as sometimes they will accept things not on the list.  Finally, if you are able to, please put anything you can in plastic bags – big or small.  This will save us time in the end because most items (besides bikes and toys) will need to be transferred to bags.   Remember, drop-off is up to 6 p.m. each day, weather permitting.

For the past 8 years, the Dyer family has gone to Greensboro Alabama to help with many different projects( such as Hale County Animal Shelter and the HERO Organization). It started as a one time commitment but the family kept the tradition going. Together they've helped to build an animal shelter, 3 schools, over 15 homes, a daycare center, and a vegetable garden for the locals to get free vegetables. The family says that most of the people they meet do not have basic necessities that we take for granted like running water or electricity but they are some of the most appreciate people you will ever meet!

If you are able to help, they are collecting:
-For the daycare: Baby food, baby snacks, baby spoons and forks, and baby bibs
-For the nursing home: deoderant, soap, fixodent, and chapstick
-For the animal shelter: leashes or collars, dog food, treats, and cat food
-EXTRA: Blankets, formula, baby toys, toys, animal toys, books, ANYTHING used is perfect!

If you are able to help, the Herald Newspaper club will take your donations for the Dyer Family until Friday, April 4th. Thank you in advance for your help!
