Kindergarten students are exploring the keyboard. Snowflake project was made 
using Kid Pix printed and sent home. They are using the pointer finger of 
their right hand only to key words. They have learned that the only the thumb 
is used on the space bar and the 
pinky finger on the right hand is the only finger that touches the enter key.

Grade 1
Students have learned the home row and how to use the enter key to start a 
new line. Students exploring Kidspiration with a project using home row 
words.

Grade 2
Students have learned how to use clip art and print preview as well as keying 
several keys that are not part of the home row. Students are working on DEC. 
project that makes a Christmas tree with the word. Project will be sent home.

Grade 3
Students continue to work with the UltraKey program to learn keyboarding, the 
goal is for all students to be on the green sheet by Christmas or past 
lesson 9.

Grade 4
Students continue to improve keyboarding skills with UltraKey, have learned 
header and footer, landscape orientation, basic computer terms and reviewed 
use of clip art. Made an acrostic project using word and also made and moved 
a snowflake from paint into word.
