It is amazing to realize how close we are to the Christmas holidays! I thank you so much for your
generosity to our adopted family. It will make Christmas morning so much more special knowing that
we contributed to some other children’s happiness. At this point we still need presents for each child.
I’ll keep you posted!
We are reading the Winnie the Pooh as a read-aloud. The children are welcome to bring in any Pooh
stuffed friends they might own.
In math we finish up our study of estimation for now and turn our attention back to addition and
subtraction strategies in preparation for January Mad Minute tests!
We are focusing on the digraph sounds of sh, ch and th this week.
Looking ahead...the Wednesday before Christmas will be an early dismissal day and the children (and
teachers!) can come to school in their pajamas!
Warmly,
Vickie
