Second Grade is excited to be a class of bucket fillers! Each day your child is encouraged to fill 
someone's bucket by showing kindness. At the end of each week, we celebrate all the wonderful ways 
we were kind to one another and read the special notes written by our classmates. Please help our class 
in our effort to become bucket fillers by discussing ways your child can fill a classmates bucket with 
kindness.

Families~Thank you for making reading an important part of your child's homework each night! Please 
remember to keep those books in your child's backpack so we can use them for our parent reading 
program each day in school. 

It is very important that you are recording the books your child is reading in his/her reading log. This 
log serves as a wonderful tool for your child to see the progression of his/her reading.
