Mrs. Krista Rush
It is a pleasure to be a teacher at the same school district where I
attended school as a child. Yes! Mrs. Rush went to John M. Grasse
Elementary School in her elementary years and graduated from Pennridge High
School. I knew at a very young age that I wanted to be a teacher and have
pictures showing myself playing school as a child. It is my passion to give
back to students the love for learning that was demonstrated to me early on
in my elementary years.
I pursued my passion of teaching from Kutztown University earning a
Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with an area of concentration in
reading. I got married to my husband Keith in July of 1994 and started my
teaching career at Seylar Elementary School in September of 1994 in First
Grade. After my first year at Seylar, I came to Guth to teach fourth grade
for 4 years and have spent the remaining years in Second Grade.
I continued my education by earning my Master’s Degree from Kutztown
University and still continue to learn the best teaching strategies and
skills from graduate classes at night.
I have 3 beautiful children~ Kolby-10, Kaleb-8, and LaurenHope-5. My boys
love sports so you will find my husband and I spending time with our
children at the football and baseball fields on the weekends.
Lauren is just getting into activities and can’t wait to try gymnastics, singing, cheerleading....
It is wonderful to touch the lives of children and instill the love for learning that I was shown as a
student at Pennridge!
