Mrs. Nemecek
As a lifelong resident of the community and a Pennridge graduate, I am honored to give back the
excellence I experienced as a student in this district.
I graduated from East Stroudsburg University earning a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary education with
an area of concentration in reading. My teaching career began in second grade at Deibler Elementary as
a long term substitute teacher. After Deibler, I taught at Guth Elementary, first and second grade. Then I
went to Sellersville Elementary where I taught third grade and then kindergarten. After kindergarten, I
began teaching first grade for numerous years before coming back to Guth Elementary.
While teaching I continued my education by earning a Master’s Degree at Kutztown University. As a part
of my Master’s program I became a certified reading specialist. After the Master’s I earned additional
credits. It is my strong belief that learning should never stop because when you’re through learning,
you’re through.
I have been married to a wonderful man named Jim for over 25 years. We have three cats. Most of my
time outside of school is spent working with the children at my church where I am their Director of
Christian Education. My hobbies include traveling, reading, gardening and working on crafts when I
have time.
