LIBRARY FINES
Guth Elementary Library overdue fines are as follows:
1. No fines for Kindergarten.
2. 5 cents per school day, per book for first through fifth grade.
This year overdue fine notices will be sent home every Friday in your
child's assignment book/folder. If a book is not returned, or a fine is not
paid by the third notice, a note will be mailed home informing parents that
their child still has not taken care of his/her library book
responsibility. Should this notice not be signed and returned, a phone call
will be made home and no other library books will be taken from the library
until the obligation for the overdue book or fine is handled. We hope that
these notices will help with the lines of communication to the
home. THANK YOU!

CELEBRATION BOOKS
The library will once again sponsor the Celebration Book Program, where
you can pay for a new library book and dedicate it in your child's name in
celebration of their birthday or other special event. If you are interested
in purchasing a celebration book stop in the library during Conference week
in November. Books may be selected now and paid for closer to the child's
birthday. Please make your selections before Christmas break as all new
books will be put into circulation in January. THANK YOU!

SCHOLASTIC BOOK FAIR
     OCTOBER 12-19, 2007
Our Book Fair was once again a huge success.
THANK YOU to all the parents who volunteered at Book Fair, and to
all who participated! Thanks also to everyone who purchased a book for a
book from their WISH LIST. The teachers appreciate this thoughtful way to
help their classroom libraries grow! The monies raised from Book Fair will
be used to buy additional books for the school library!
Our next Book Fair will be held in June at the end of the school
year. What a great time to stock up for summer reading!
