How can I help my child in first grade?

Be sure your child comes to school on time each day after a restful night's sleep and healthy breakfast.  
Always check his homework (much of it will be reading homework which you will need to listen to or 
math games to play with him) and sign his assignment sheet in his homework folder.  Always be 
positive and encouraging.  Let me know if any problems arise.

How can I help in first grade?

There are many opportunities for you to help in school.  A form to complete will be given out at the 
Open House on September 6th.  I will need parents to plan parties, assist on field trips, and listen to 
first graders read at school (Clearance forms must be completed for this.)  There will be also things 
which you can do at home if you are unable to come into school during the day.
