WEEK OF JUNE 8
READING/LANGUAGE ARTS
Students will continue to explore language as they write poetry this
week. They will work cooperatively to present research on the Amish
traditions in a combined social studies and language arts activity.
SOCIAL STUDIES
Our local heritage field trip last week was a success. We gathered
evidence of local history through studying old tombstones at St. Peter's
Tohickon Church. A special speaker at the Pennridge airport helped us to
determine why that was a good location for an airport, and the Mrs. Klepfer
and Mr. Funk at the East Rockhill Township Building explained how they help
the community. The kids got to climb inside of some of the special machines
such as a dump truck, backhoe, and grass cutter. You should have heard the
sound of all those kids honking all of those horns!
MATH
Students will continue to explore two-dimensional and three-dimensional
geometry this week. We will also discuss volume and capacity.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION

folders from desks on that day.
