Back To School
Welcome to the 2009-2010 school year! The kindergartners are doing a wonderful job getting adjusted to the daily procedures. This is an exciting time for your child, although he/she may be a little apprehensive about going to school. This is also a time of mixed emotions for parents. The first day of school will mark one of the most important milestones of your child’s life!
Be assured that I will do my best to make this school year an enjoyable time for your child, but also a time filled with real learning. Please do no think your child will just be “playing” all day! The skills we practice daily in Kindergarten are the building blocks for your child’s success in school and in life!
I would like to take this time to tell you a little about myself. My name is Ms. Becky Buttgereit. I am beginning my second year as a Kindergarten teacher at Redeemer. I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a B.S degree and certification in Elementary Education. I am currently taking the necessary Colloquy classes to be a certified Lutheran School teacher. In the summer of 2010, I will begin taking courses towards a Masters in Reading at the University of Pittsburgh. I live at home with my family and our beloved cat, “Traveler.” I enjoy biking and taking walks, movies, dining out, and traveling.
Thank you for entrusting your child here with me at Redeemer!
