Ross Elementary is located in Sweet Valley, PA. The building consists of grades K-6, with an enrollment of approximately 300 students. Ross Elementary expanded in 2001 and with continued growth in our area, another expansion project took place during the 2009-10 school year.
The faculty at Ross Elementary is very committed, self-motivated, and cooperative. Our overall PSSA scores continue to be above the performance targets each year, and we have received the annual Pennsylvania Keystone Award for PSSA achievement for nine consecutive years (since the 2003-04 school year). It is an achievement we are very proud of and a goal we continue to strive for.
We implement the Students of the Building program to reinforce the importance of daily academic achievement and social values. We believe the emphasis on these two areas improve the overall environment of the school.
Our PTO plays a vital role in supporting our school. We have a large number of parents who volunteer their time for the children throughout the year. Many of the activities and events take a lot of planning, and we are very fortunate to have so many generous people in our community. Their collaboration and cooperation is always deeply appreciated.
