Practice February 27 will be for Declamation and Drama and their alternates and any speaker or alternate who did not attend practice last week.

Alternates are very important. We have several speakers who at present are ill or injured. It is important that you are prepared to step in if we need you on Saturday. We want to do our best at Finals and we cannoy do it without a full team!

The following students are invited to represent our School at the Finals/All Stars Tournament

at Bishop Canevin on March 2, 2013:

Prose: Jack, Margaret                              Alt: Annie

Dec: Hope, Erin                                       Alt: John Henry

Drama: Evie, Andrew, Nicole, Kara      Alt: Will

If you cannot attend the tournament, please let me know immediately.

Please be at Bishop Canevin at 8:30 this Saturday. Mrs Petersen and I will provide breakfast on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who have been so generous in sending food for the tournaments.

You need to bring a lunch or Pizza lunch is being offered by the league on Saturday for a cost of $3. I will send home forms tomorrow to request lunch.

There will be one round with several judges in the room. Your placement will be an average of their scores.

After the first round, students will be selected to speak in the All Stars round. EVERYONE is invited to watch those rounds. I would estimate they will begin between 10:30 and 11:00. There will be an awards ceremony in which all speakers will receive places & awards, schools will be awarded places, and All Star winners will be announced.
