Congratulations to our Forensics team members who took 4th place at the South Fayette Tournament on December 12. Individual places were as follows: Poetry:, Eric Shorthouse , Simon Grefenstette -2 firsts, Breanna Weigand, Colin Scanlon 1 second, 1 third Prose: Maura Sheedy, Adrianne Kubiak – 1 first, 1 second, Daisha Reed, Evie Hoff- 2 seconds Drama: Laura Klimek - 2 firsts, Claudia Jester -1 first, 1 third, Sarah Blank 1 first, 1 second Declamation: Mark Shorthouse, Angela Zucchero, Aidan Crossey - 1 first, 1 second.
Many thanks to Mrs Petersen, Mrs Doherty, and Mrs Scanlon who helped at the tournament and to Mr Grefenstette, Mr Crossey, Mrs Scanlon, and Mrs Doherty who provided our transportation and to all who sent breakfast items. We really appreciate your help!
Special thanks to Jenny Klimek and Liam Crossey for judging . They did a spectacular job! We often ask alumni of our program to come back and be judges. They must be at least Sophomores.
We will take a break until after Christmas from practice. Practice will resume in January 6 for those attending the January 23 tournament at Peters Township. I will be sending home papers this week to see who is able to attend that tournament.Please check your schedules.
We will choose the roster according to grade level ( 8th graders will be given first priority), space in a category, and the number of tournaments an speaker has attended.
