We had a great day tasting all of the wonderful healthy food! The students are looking forward to tomorrow for more food to taste! Ask your child what his/her favorite food was.
The Santa shop will be open when we return from Thanksgiving break. Our class is scheduled to go on Thursday, December 7th in the morning.
We will be starting a new unit when we return from Thanksgiving. Our first story in the unit will be about Arthur by Mark Brown. I updated the Language Arts webpage if you would like to see the vocabulary words and other objectives for the unit.
In math, we will be ending our chapter on adding 2 digit problems. We will have the test sometime next week. We have also been practicing estimating. This skill will not be on the test, but it will be on a graded paper. There will be a few questions about estimating to show how they can check their work. The next chapter will be on subtracting 2 digit numbers.
In Religion, we are starting to talk about the 10 Commandments and sin. They will not have to memorize the 10 Commandments for this chapter test. We will be doing a lot of activities to practice the 10 Commandments. Eventually, I would like them to have the 10 Commandments memorized.
I hope that you and your family have a Blessed Thanksgiving!
