Well, we have officially made it through the First Trimester!  It has been a 
very productive few months, and we have accomplished so much already!

Coming up in the Second Trimester, we will focus on many new things.  In 
Religion classes, we will continue our study of the sacraments, with the 
Eucharist being the major focus for awhile.  We will also delve into the 
Mass, its components, and the new changes that are taking place.  Advent is a 
time of preparation of the birth of Jesus, and we will be doing many things 
in class to focus our minds and hearts.

In Math classes, we will continue our study of FRACTIONS!!!  Subtracting 
fractions will be our next area of focus, then we will delve into multiplying 
and dividing fractions.

In Reading classes, we will be focusing on elements of Poetry, and also 
Biographies.  Students are reading biographies, and will be creating a book 
report based on these biographies.

In Writing class, we will be working diligently on composing great 
ARGUMENTS!  We are working on our persuasion skills, and learning how to back 
up arguments with great facts.

In Science class, we are completing our study of the Solar System, and we 
will move into a study of ENERGY!

In Social Studies class, we will begin our study of the United States, 
capitals, and regions.

The Second Trimester will bring some great excitement, as well as some hard 
work!  I hope you're ready for the challenge!!!
