I attended Catholic school. This photo was taken on the first day of my
eighth grade year. My brother is going to kindergarten. Our dog, Ladybug, was
seeing us off to the bus. As a product of Catholic schools, I believe in the
quality of instruction and the dedication of the instructors, and I am
committed to carrying on that strong tradition at St. Bernard.
I am certified to teach K-6, Mid-level English 7-9, and Mid-level Science
7-9. During my teaching career, I have instructed every grade level Pre-K to
8th grade, special education and in 2003 was invited to be an educational
consultant with the Smithsonian Institution, National Museum of Natural
History before my family moved to Pittsburgh. It was an AWESOME job!
Other quick facts: I have lived in three different countries; I have two
children, two loyal dogs, and a superb husband. I enjoy cooking, biking,
kayaking, star gazing, and watching my children play their sports. Most
importantly, I am thrilled to be teaching at St.Bernard School again this year!
...to become strong writers and to use the scientific method to explore the
world around them. The ability to communicate effectively and problem solve
opens the door to many opportunities.
