Book report for the second quarter:  Great guys and girls - Character traits

Approval deadline: Thursday, October 29,2009
Report due: November  20, 2009

You may select a book from the list on the back, or select an alternate title,
but it must be approved by me.  I will record your book title on  Tuesday,
October 28, 2009.  This is worth 25pts of your report, and is a separate grade.
YOU MAY NOT USE THE BOOK YOU READ FOR YOUR HISTORICAL FICTION REPORT.
Report:
Your report should include the following:

1.	Report is headed with Title (underlined or italics) and author (5pts.)
2.	A brief summary of the book.  Tell me about the beginning, middle and end.
 Do not end the summary with “If you want to know more read the book.”  You
are to tell me in no more than 3 paragraphs (25pts.)
3.	 List three character traits of the main character and find a quote from
the book that supports each trait. The quote from the book should list the
page at the end.  (25pts.)
4.	Your overall response to the book.  Did you like it and why?  Would you
recommend it to others?  Would this book be an interesting book for a teacher
to read out loud? (25pts.)
5.	Colorful cover for your book report with the title and author and your
name.  (10pts.)

Your book report should be typed in 12 pt, Times New Roman, Century Gothic, or
Arial fonts.   (10pts.)
