A collection of Hiaku & Other Sayings

Climb Mount Fuji

O Snail,

slowly, slowly

T

Before the white chrysanthemum

the scissors hesitate

a moment

T

Haikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
Refrigerator

T

The Man pulling radishes

pointed my way

with a radish

T

All the time I pray to Buddha

I   keep on

killing mosquitoes

T

Moon, plum blossoms,

this, that,

and the day goes.

T

People visiting all day -

in between

the quiet of the peony

T

The un-haiku strikes me odd

it's like having an un-cola

nuts!

T

We must always change, renew,

rejuvenate; ourselves

otherwise we harden. (Von Goethe)

T

Not too anxious

to bloom

my plum tree

T

This is not a hiaku , nevertheless...

"A newcomer asked to be shown the way to the monastery and Chaoe-chou replied, "Have you finished eating your rice?" "

T

Kogarashi no

Chi ni mo otosanu

Shigure ka na

- Kyorai

T

Where

does cold come from

O Scarecrow?
