About The Teacher
Thank you for visiting the SPN Spanish Program webpage! I received my B.A. in Spanish from Penn State University and have experience teaching Spanish at both the elementary and high school levels. This is my fifth year teaching at SPN. I'm very glad to have the opportunity to continue to build the SPN Spanish Program!

Mission
SPANISH PRE-K TO GRADE 3 The younger grades have Spanish on a rotating basis. Basic Spanish is introduced through songs and actions. _____________________________________________________________________________ SPANISH 4,5 Spanish 4/5 meets once a week. The main objective of the class is to develop and practice the listening and speaking of basic Spanish. Students practice material in various forms to gain confidence and basic proficiency within each vocabulary unit. Previously introduced material is often revisited within a new unit to allow students continued practice of vocabulary. Various aspects of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world are included in the course as well. ______________________________________________________________________________ SPANISH 6,7,8 Spanish 6,7,8 meets once a week. The main objective of the class is to expose students to various aspects of a Level One high school Spanish class over the course of three years. The 6,7,8 course is not meant to replace the Spanish I high school class but to give students a head start and added practice in the enrichment area of World Languages. Material (vocabulary and phrases) is introduced via units of a Level One textbook program and through various supplementary materials. Aspects of the culture of the Spanish-speaking world are also introduced.
