About The Teacher
Hello everyone, my name is Mrs. Simon and I am one of the First Grade teachers at Saints Peter and Paul School in West Chester, PA. This is my seventh year teaching at Saints Peter and Paul School and my 9th year as a teacher. I earned my undergraduate degree in Elementary Education from Shippensburg University and my Master's in Education along with my Reading Specialist Certification from Cabrini College. I absolutely love teaching First Grade and get so much enjoyment from seeing my students learn to read throughout the year! I also enjoy reading myself and try to commit most of my down time to this hobby.

Mission
A child's ability to read is the foundation of their education. I believe that a child needs to learn how to read according to their learning style. Not one child is exactly the same as the other, that is why I believe each child needs to be taught in a way that benefits their specific learning style. I strive to teach each of my students needs and differentiate my instruction to provide an appropriate learning environment for all of my students.
