Week of November 9, 2009
What a busy week we had last week!! Our week started off with the children
sharing their Saint projects! I was so proud of them, and I could also see
how proud they were of themselves. And we learned a lot of information
about
the different Saints. If you are in the building, please stop by
our “Gallery” outside of our classroom to see the projects.
We also had two guest speakers last week. Mr. Petticord shared about his
job
as an engineer at the Birdsboro energy plant. He also gave the children
cool
light bulb pencil sharpeners! Our second guest was Mr. Wilkinson who is a
registered dietician. Mr. Wilkinson taught us about the food pyramid.
Thank
you both for taking time out of your schedule to see us!
Chick-fil-a lunch is Wednesday. Please make sure to bring a drink or drink
money.
Many children are missing glue sticks, crayons, and scissors. Please make
sure that the children come to school with these items, as we will be very
busy the next couple of months working on different projects.
We are collecting toilet paper rolls for an Advent project. Each child
needs
to bring in 4 rolls by Tuesday, November 24th. Thank you!
We finally got all of our workbooks!! I will start to send them home to be
covered with contact paper.
Here is what we will learn this week:
