Process

Below is a list of your goals that need to be completed for this project.
Use the numbered steps that follow the goals to help you complete the
webquest. Be sure to read through the goals carefully so that you fully
understand what you are to be doing!

You need to:
-Research the links that go with your assigned colony.
-Under each category, fill in the most important information that you have
found from the links. Be sure to use your own words...do not plagarize (this
means to copy text from a source word-for-word).
-When your categories are finished, begin to plan and prepare your poster and
presentation.

Steps:
1. Be sure that the links you use are full of interesting and detailed
information that you can include in your poster and presentation.
2. Use the provided links to find your information on each Colony.
3. Be sure to record your findings in an organized manner so that writing
your poster is an easy task.
4. When your research is finished, focus on your poster and presentation.
Don't waste time during your chances to gain information and research.

POSTER

Your poster should include the following information:

WHO
- Who was the founder of your colony?
- Who were some other important people in the colony?

WHAT
- What was the colony's culture? (government, religion, traditions)
- For what products was the colony known?

WHERE
- In what region was the colony?
- What were the environmental traits of the colony?
- From where were the founders?

WHEN
- When was the colony founded?

WHY
- Why did the founders leave their homeland?

Your poster should be shaped like your assigned colony and have all of the
key ideas written on it. The information should be accurate and spelled
correctly. It should be neat, colorful, and interesting to the viewer. You
also need to include 3 visuals on your poster that are either drawn by hand
or computer made (ex. a picture of the main product of the colony).

PRESENTATION
Your presentation will summarize the key information from your poster and
should last about two minutes. You should also answer one of the following
questions with your own thoughts and ideas:

1. What are three unique qualities about this colony that would draw families
from Europe to live here?

2. What are the major goals of people living in this colony?

3. If you had to choose someone you know to live in this colony, who would it
be and why? (Be sure to go into detail when answering this question)
