Hello! My name is Tammy Drugatz. I would like to take this opportunity to
tell all of you a little about myself. I am one of the intermediate school
counselors here at Nazareth Area Intermediate School. I am the counselor for
students whose last name begins with letters A-L. I began working in the
Nazareth Area School District in September of 2004 as the school counselor
for Shafer Elementary. Before I came to the Nazareth Area School District, I
was a school counselor in the East Stroudsburg Area School District. I
received my Bachelors Degree in Psychology from Marywood University. In
addition, I earned a Master of Science Degree in Community Counseling from
the University of Scranton. I also have a Pennsylvania Certification in
School Counseling. Prior to becoming a school counselor, I was a Mobile
Therapist that worked specifically with elementary
school aged children.
Elementary years are the building blocks for the development of knowledge
and skills necessary for children to achieve to their fullest potential.
Through an elementary school counseling program, counselors work as a team
with the school staff, parents and the community to create a positive
learning environment. The developmental school counseling program provides
education, prevention, early identification and interventions, which are
integrated throughout the school community.
