Do not allow the child to return to school until he has been free of fever
for 24 hours.

Should I send my child to school with a cold, but no fever or cough?

If your child complains of a sore throat and has no other symptoms, they may
go to school. If white spots can be seen in the back of their throat or if
fever is present, keep them home and call the doctor.

Is my child allowed to have cough drops in school?

Yes. A student may have cough drops in school as long as a parent or
guardian writes a note giving the student permission to have the cough drops
in school.

Can I send Tylenol into school for my child to take when they need it?

Written authorization, signed by the physician,(original or fax),and parent
or legal guardian must be provided for each medication, prescription or over
the counter medication being administered to each student in school.

Can I send the medication to school with my child in a bag?

No. Medication must be delivered to the school nurse by the parent, legal
guardian, or authorized adult designee in the original medication container.

My child developed a food allergy, who should I notify?

You should contact the School Nurse immediately. The School Nurse will then
alert the child's teacher(s),and the cafeteria of the food allergy.
